The Half Penny (pronounced Hape-Nee) Mannequins
are made in a small worksstandhop in the village of Wittersham, on the Isle of Oxney in Kent. Modern machinery and techniques are used for the initial stages of manufacture with the majority of the work after that being done by hand including the finishing.

The timber used is Tulip Wood (American Poplar). This was chosen because it is a medium weight timber that carves and turns well on the lathe, as well as staining and polishing well to complete the warm walnut finish.

The Mannequins are provided with a steel stand and matching screwdriver for adjustments when needed for different poses. Both of these items are also made on the Isle of Oxney.
